Will I have enough time to do the course?

More practice is always good, but if you can only devote a small amount of time to photography, you'll still be able to make steady progress and take some awesome shots! Once you've got your head around a few basic concepts, it's amazing how quickly it all comes together.
What equipment do I need for this course?
You do need a digital camera - but don't worry, a basic entry-level camera will be just fine to develop your photography skills and take beautiful photos.
There are a couple of other pieces of equipment you'll need to look after your camera and photos, like a camera bag and memory cards. Other than that, it's up to you how much you want to invest in gear. You're best off getting started with a few cheap, basic pieces of equipment and figuring out what else you might want as you go along.
Does it matter what kind of camera I have?
Any kind of digital camera with manual controls is fine! As long as you can adjust your own settings, you'll be able to use the techniques we learn in this course.
Will I get a certification for completing the course?
It isn't an official qualification, but all hot shots who complete the course will receive something special! You'll have to wait and see what ;)
Can you really learn photography entirely online?
Well, yes and no. If you watch all my videos, make notes and never actually get out there with your camera, you won't get very far! There is definitely no substitute for hands-on practice.

Some people think that to be a good photographer you just have to be born with an 'eye' for it, but I totally disagree. Of course some photographers are particularly talented, but anyone can learn to take technically correct and visually beautiful shots. You just need to learn a few simple tricks, and then practise applying them in the real world. Soon it will all become second nature!
